Science, technology, engineering, math (STEM)

Students who gravitate towards STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields are typically interested in hands-on and problem-based learning experiences. Many scholarship programs provide funding to support those learning experiences, along with other types of experiences valuable as you advance toward your career goals. Consider your options widely!

As you search and review scholarship information, consider different types of scholarships based on:

  • the fields of study you're interested in now and fields you may move toward in the future
  • research opportunities
  • projects you are working on now and hoping to take on in the future
  • community efforts you may be engaged in now or would like to be in the future
  • identities you hold
  • other academic and professional interests you may have that are not necessarily directly connected to your major, like language studies or study abroad
